Title DraZtic: Final Dynamics Demo
Medium Maya 5, Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects
Date June 03, 2004
Info

This is the final animation in my various Maya dynamics demos for the DraZtic webpage. This piece is actually a combination of two dynamics demos I did. One is from the Instancing Demo, and another is from a Soft Bodies Demo I did. I combined both of these small animations into one short story/demo. I decided not to put up the original Soft Body demonstation for this reason since this animation contains the entire demonstration anyway. So those of you who saw the Instancing Demonstration will definately recognize those portions of this animation.

For those who don't know what Maya Soft Body/Instancing is, Soft Bodies is just how it sounds. In this animation you'll see characters making dents in the snow and a character flattened like a pancake. These are examples of Soft Bodies. Instancing is basically making multiple versions of objects/characters by using particles. For example, when one of the characters appears to be making multiple verisons of himself, those are actually particles emitting from the character. If you still don't understand, don't worry about it. You don't need to to enjoy this animation. One thing I should note is that at the very end of this animation there is an inside joke that was meant for my professor and the class I made this demo for that may or may not be funny to anyone else. So if you don't get it, you had to be there.
