The final project in a long line of 3D animations/projects created for my 3D Animation class for the DraZtic webpage. This piece of course comes a long way from the five previous animations/projects I've done. The concept of the piece is a walking/running character (robot). But it goes a step further. The character (Final Project) starts out walking at a slow pace not really thinking about anything, until he comes up to his destination, the "Turn in Station". After looking at the animated sign on the Turn In Station, he realizes he is late, and he begins rushing into the building, barely making it. He looks on the wall to see another animated sign telling him he's been "Turned in". And then he looks to see the previous projects before him (you should recognize them in the line of other 3D projects/animations I've done). The character, realizing that his mission is complete, looks up wondering what's happens next. Won't spoil that for you. The piece is basically representing me and my process through the classes. I took my time on the project, and then at the last minute turned it in barely making it. And then I reflect on the previous projects, and basically think to myself...now what? Same outcome as the animation of course. ;) This piece is definately "the big dog" of pieces I've done on this page as of right now. Not only did this piece take HOURS to render (a little under 20 hours) but there were countless problems I had to go through and fix, not to meantion straighten out. Of course, it won't be the last. But it'll be at least a month or so before I do another big time animation like this again. But until then, enjoy. For those of you who don't want to sit around trying to download the animation, or don't like the quality of it (had to lower it quite a bit), you can check out stills from the animation here: |
