Another model sheet from my gaming concept for the DraZtic webpage. This one happening to be the the vehicle, a dragon. Once again, the actual model had to be a certain number of polygons and could not be rendered because the assignment required the piece to look like something in an actual real time videogame, and basically a PS2 game. So the textures couldn't be more than 512by 512, we could only use a 1, and it had to be under 2000 polygons. This is my third project in 3D Studio Max. I used Vertex painting with this piece because we couldn't use actual light sources. So the light you see is actually painted on colors on the model to make it look like light is hitting it. On this model sheet you can see 5 poses of the model 2 of the model in wire frame mode, and the initial sketch. The texture was applied using ID mapping, which was just me mapping on different parts of that texture onto different things. I'm not going to explain the dragon's function in the game since it's right there on the model sheet. As for how I made the model sheet, I took the pictures into Photoshop and used my photoshop skills to enhance the sheet's look. |
