These two renders are part of a series of pieces leading to a grand scale 3D animation that will be done in Maya called Restricted Area for the DraZtic webpage. The two pictures on the left are of the two main characters, the Penguin and the Robot. You may notice the "Z" reference on the Penguin's shirt. I used Maya to create these models, but certain aspects needed different programs. I used Photoshop for some of the textures like the clothes and such on the penguin. And to properly make the models I scanned in some profile drawings I did of the characters.

Also, you may notice that the characters are toon/cell shaded. This is because this is a cartoonish animation, and such, I felt cell shading would be more appropriate. Anyway, enjoy the renders, more Restricted Area pieces are coming, leading up to the final piece.
